Rachel Pedrana
Australian born, Visual Artist Rachel Pedrana achieved a Certificate in Studio Arts and Photography in a coveted two year scholarship at P.I.C Hawthorn Campus, Victoria in 1997.
A featured photographer in Top Cats Exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria.
Rachel began her career as a photographer, the lure of studio lights, darkrooms and black and white negatives inspired her to explore different creative mediums. Evolution and the age of digital technology changed things forever. She found herself struggling to maintain the purity of her artform. A change of direction and focus was inevitable.
Rachel's life journey came full circle returning to her passion for photography as a source of inspiration. Fascinated by aerial photography and the new visual perspectives capturing mesmerising fractal patterns and colours carved into the world around us.
As a Visual Artist, Rachel uses her interpretation of an aerial perspective combining her understanding of composition and form, accentuating natural elements, texture and light.
Rachel’s original artworks are created in her home studio and workshop based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. She is commissioned to create bespoke pieces for private collectors, commercial interior design projects and installations.
