Jarrod Riggs

Jarrod Riggs was born in Auckland, New Zealand, and later moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2009. Spending his formative years portraying Queensland's coastal landscape his focus later shifted towards Southern California for its similarites in light and colour whilst discovering its tracts of mid-century architecture and pop iconography that underpins his work today.

With his studio set up on the Sunshine Coast the artist's emphasis in on rendering the Southern Californian lifestyle with a focus on modernist architecture and the subtle beauty of familiar environments.

Jarrod Riggs' paintings have been exhibited in both solo and group shows, and his work is held in private collections worldwide.
