If you wish to exhibit at Stevens Street Gallery, please submit the following:

Stevens Street Gallery is committed to sharing and promoting artists exhibiting within our gallery. This may include online, social media, video and print media. We also encourage visitors to take pictures during their visit to the gallery and share images through social media and online, to promote the gallery and exhibiting artists. Applicants acknowledge that their artwork may feature in non-commercial marketing lead by the gallery and images captured by visitors to the gallery.
Please note: Applications will not be processed if the application is incomplete or has missing attachments.
Selection process
In our experience, a harmonious collection of work results in much greater success for artists, and Gallery. Therefore we have a selection process in place. We forward plan and curate artists together for their compatibility and cohesivity. This ensures your work is displayed in the best light, complimented by the work of other local artists.
Artist Information and Application
Stevens Street Gallery is a vibrant art space located in the historical township of Yandina. The Gallery is an ever changing feast for the senses and a rich and diverse variety of local talented artists, designers and creatives are represented from across the Sunshine Coast region.
We have created a space that encourages a growing artistic community to support one another and grow together, an exciting exhibition space where your work can be seen and valued, a great sales team to sell your artwork and curate the space, not to mention beautifully styled and down-right gorgeous offering 5 days a week trading! With marketing, merchant fees, visual merchandising and real estate all taken care of, you will have the time to do what you really love – making and creating.
Our intention is to support artists, creatives and designers to build and maintain not only sustainable but thriving careers. We are a continually evolving inclusive art space that provides an opportunity for local creatives to grow their following and sell their work.
Gallery Structure
Commission on Sales
Stevens Street Gallery will retain a 25% commission of the sale price of each item sold in store or online through the store website.

Featured Artist
$220 per month (2 month exhibition)
A ‘Featured Artist’ in one of our gallery exhibitions.
Allocated Space - Approx 10 pieces (depending on size) including prints, cards and space for other products, to be discussed with the gallery. Featured Artists may also be showcased in the foyer/entrance of Bar Deco Restaurant.
Presented as a ‘Featured Artist’ at our Open Gallery exhibition event.
Opportunity to be a guest artist and do live painting demonstrations in the gallery.
Highlighted as a feature artist/creative on social channels and on the home page of our website.
Online Artist profile and gallery of works available for sale on the Stevens Street Gallery website.
Packaging, shipping and handling of sold works.
Newsletter showcasing featured artists to a database of over 1000 art loving subscribers.
Artist space
$110 per month (2 month exhibition)
Allocated Space - Approx 5 pieces on the wall. depending on size. Prints and cards are also accepted.
Online Artist profile and gallery of works available for sale on the Stevens Street Gallery website.
Packaging, shipping and handling of sold artwork.
Shared and promoted on Stevens Street Gallery social channels.
Newsletter feature under ‘New to the gallery’ to a database of over 1000 art loving subscribers.
Product only space
$65 per month
Artisan Product space - space size dependant on product.
Products shared on social media.
Newsletter feature under ‘New to the gallery’ to a database of over 1000 art loving subscribers.
Pocket Pieces
$35 (includes 3 pieces)
Purchase a 30 x 30cm canvas from us. We have canvases and framed canvases available to pick up from the gallery.
Stevens Street Gallery Role - what we do for all creatives in store
Curate the space - keeping our store cohesive and harmonious.
Consult with artists for selection of works and development for sales and exhibition content.
Promote all artists and their work via our website and social platforms - always tagging and crediting you as the artist/creator (feel free to share any posts or stories and tag us, to keep that algorithm happy).
Manage and track all sales of artworks - We record sales and provide a report at the end of each month and keep you updated regularly when work sells.
There will be a salesperson in store, selling and promoting you and your products on all trading days.
Provide security and on-site insurance.
An online store to sell your artwork to a wider audience.
Provide Packaging, shipping and handling of sold works.
Dedicated workshop space to diversify your creative practice.
Creates connections and opportunities for commissioned work and collaborations
Where possible and practicable provides an Arts Advisory Service to enquiring corporate businesses, interior designers, builders, architects, real estate, health providers and others in the commercial, business, government and private sectors.
Exhibitions
Every 8 weeks we launch a new ‘featured artists’ exhibition through our Open Gallery events in conjunction with our friends at Bar Deco. Regular exhibitions give anticipation to our community to expect something fresh and exciting to be uncovered at each event.
The Artist is responsible for
Returning the SSG Artist Participation Application form accepting the requirements set out in this document.
Payment of the gallery participation fee. An invoice will be sent at the beginning of the exhibition period, payment is to be made within 7 days.
Artworks will be installed by the Stevens Street Gallery team. The gallery has a fully trained installation team, which handles all the gallery installations and demounts. The artist will be consulted about specific installation requirements of artworks, if necessary.
All hanging works to be fitted with ‘D’ hooks and hanging wire.
Delivery of artworks to and from Stevens Street Gallery is the responsibility of the artist.
Artwork is to be delivered to Stevens Street Gallery the week of installation.
Artists are responsible for providing artworks that are in good condition and undamaged. Stevens Street Gallery reserves the right not to display unsafe or unstable works.
Provide a consignment / delivery note detailing a list of works with photo reference of artworks, including title, medium, dimensions and sales price. Sale price must include a commission of 25% (including GST).
All artworks must be clearly labelled on the back with the artist’s name, the title and medium used.
NOTE: Our role in this agreement is as an agency to sell your artwork and or products for the agreed period of time. We do not hold ownership over the goods but act as an agent to sell them on your behalf.
You are required as the owner of the goods to set your price for your products as this is your business for whom through this contract period we are an agent for. You are required to pay your own GST for your goods if you are eligible.

Supporting the Gallery
Part of the many benefits provided by inclusion with Stevens Street Gallery is the connections. As advocates of local art, our professional networks in the community and reputation for building relationships and supporting a large stable of artists. As such any sale made that is a direct connection with the gallery should be acknowledged and commissions paid. Whilst we do not manage every connection, we pass on work and opportunities in good faith that are also supported. We believe in a win-win situation, and we can only exist by artists supporting us back.

Payment of fees
Fees will be invoiced at the beginning of each exhibition period.
Notice to discontinue exhibiting - Product Space
Artists/Creatives must provide a minimum of 1 month notice if you wish remove your products from the gallery to allow us time to offer available space to other artists.
Payment to the Artist
Stevens Street Gallery will arrange payment for all sales at the end of each month. A report of all sales will be provided at the end of the month and payment for the total sales minus the 25% commission will be paid directly into the nominated bank account.
