Carla Nardi

With a Bachelor in Industrial Design and Visual Communication Carla began her career as a graphic designer and illustrator, working for boutique design studios and magazines. It is where she explored and refined her eye for detail and her creative process.

Carla is originally from Brazil with Italian family heritage. While growing up, Carla experienced long vacations in Europe and it was where she developed a love of travel and culture. She later also spend time living in Florence, where her love of art deepened. In 2001 Carla immigrated to Australia where she completed a Masters in Digital Design (QCA) and Multimedia Design (SCA). After years working within the electronic medium Carla realised her true passion was in her intricate work of creating by hand. Carla in now focusing on Fine Arts and currently works from her home studio on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. She works with mediums ranging from watercolours and ink to oil painting.
