While I was laying on the footpath photographing these hellebores, the home owner stuck her top half out the window to enthuse about them. It was her first attempt at growing hellobores and she was thrilled by her success. She then apologised for not coming out as it turns out, she was only half dressed. She’d just been so excited that someone else appreciated her garden.
