About the Artist

Prudence Coburn is an Australian Artist from Victoria, living on the Sunshine Coast. Her inspiration stems from her surrounding landscape and environment, particularly her deep connection with the ocean. This connection grew from living along the Australian coastline, witnessing our remarkable wildlife in nature and developing a passion for longboard surfing.

Her interest in the ocean heavily influences her art practice as she explores feelings of calm, solitude, vastness, warmth, strength and vulnerability throughout her art practice. Behind each of her artworks lies the intention to expose the complexity and the beauty within nature in a simple way, encouraging more people to view natural elements this way in the future.
