Wading Through

At the heart of Amanda Cameron's work is a search for stillness. Through contemporary figurative paintings of water, light and the human form, she creates original Australian artworks that offer a gentle sense of calm, quiet contemplation and escape from the pace of everyday life. Working primarily in oils from her Gold Coast studio, Amanda is recognised for her distinctive balance of refined realism and expressive brushwork. Thick layers of paint and visible mark making reveal the artist's hand up close, while luminous light and fluid compositions create a striking sense of depth and movement from a distance. A multi award winning Australian artist with a background in graphic and web design, Amanda brings a sophisticated understanding of colour, composition and visual storytelling to her practice. Her ongoing exploration of light, water and the figurative form has established a distinctive body of work that resonates with collectors seeking contemporary Australian art with both technical excellence and emotional depth.
