Magali Feuga

  • Endlessly inspired by people, Magali’s work centers on the human form as a vessel for emotion, individuality, and connection. She creates sculptures and paintings that explore internal worlds and celebrate the richness of human diversity and the fleeting impermanence of expression.

Having grown up traveling the world on her parents’ boat, her curiosity has always been drawn more to people than to places. This nomadic upbringing continues to influence her creative vision, enriching it with a global perspective and a deep empathy for the human experience.

Open to discovery, she explores a wide range of techniques and mediums, favouring energy and visual impact over strict realism.

Her approach is intuitive, allowing for original and unexpected outcomes often guided by the materials.

Emotion, femininity, ethnicity, and cultural diversity run through her work. Through emotionally charged portraits and figures, she aims to evoke a sense of shared humanity while leaving space for personal interpretation. Inviting viewers to reflect on both their individuality and their innate connection to others and to the natural world.

  • Born in New Caledonia and based on Australia’s Sunshine Coast since 2018, Magali Feuga is a French artist whose figurative work revolves around the human form. Through painting and sculpture, she explores themes of emotion, cultural diversity, identity, and connection.

Magali’s creative roots trace back to an unconventional childhood spent aboard her parents’ sailboat, where her artist father nurtured her early interest in art. She later studied in Nice in the late 1990s and continued developing her practice through self-guided learning and inspiration drawn from over 20 years of global travel as a private chef.

Since making Australia her home, Magali has devoted herself fully to her art. People - portraits and figures feature prominently in her work, often as emotive, symbolic representations of shared human experience. Her pieces aim to tell stories, evoke emotion, and invite reflection on what it means to be human.

Her work has been exhibited in a range of group shows and art prizes in recent years. With ongoing projects and upcoming exhibitions, Magali continues to evolve her practice, guided by curiosity, introspection, and a deep appreciation for human connection.
