Shelley is a former Visual Art Teacher now in a new space on the Sunshine coast and discovering the joy of painting as an emerging artist. She is drawn to the Nostalgia and memories that are evoked by the classic beach shacks that abound on our coastal fringes. She is compelled to capture the charm and vintage feel of these buildings as they slowly disappear from our coastal streets. Shelley is currently painting and continuing to explore both Botanical and coastal landscapes in her work. “I want people to feel the magic and nostalgia that comes from viewing my artworks and for them to step back to a space and place where memories of beach holidays and simpler times come alive again.”
