Flourish

Bold, colourful and richly layered, Bronwyn Barton's contemporary Australian paintings invite curiosity and reward closer inspection. Her original artworks balance expressive abstraction with subtle representational elements, creating compositions that reveal new details, textures and stories with every viewing. Inspired by the colours, textures and ever changing light of Australia's subtropical landscape, Bronwyn builds her paintings through an intuitive process of layering, scraping, sanding and collage. Each work evolves organically, revealing traces of its history while creating remarkable depth, movement and atmosphere. Striking from across the room yet endlessly engaging up close, her paintings are filled with intricate textures and unexpected moments of discovery. Since beginning her artistic journey in 2008, Bronwyn has developed a distinctive contemporary style defined by experimentation, fearless colour and an intuitive creative process.
