There is a joyful confidence in Gabrielle Tito's paintings, where flowers, pattern and treasured objects come together in compositions that feel as though they have stepped from a wonderfully eccentric interior into a world of their own. Based in Brisbane, Gabrielle creates original paintings that bring together exuberant florals, fruit, native botanicals, birds and still life with bold geometric motifs and unexpected colour combinations. Her love of vintage design, antiques and collected objects is woven through her work, while her background in interior design brings a natural understanding of colour, balance and the way artwork can transform a space. Gabrielle's paintings are playful, pattern creates rhythm around richly observed flowers, vessels, fruit and everyday treasures, creating a distinctive visual language that feels both nostalgic and thoroughly contemporary. Having developed her practice through experimentation, Gabrielle began painting seriously in 2018 and has continued to build a highly recognisable style. Her work was a finalist in the 2022 Unearthed Art Prize and the 2023 Petite Pieces Art Prize, and she has exhibited at the Affordable Art Fair Brisbane. Bright, decorative and full of personality, Gabrielle's original paintings are made for collectors who want their art to bring energy, character and a little bit of joy into a room.
