If you like Pina Colada

Bringing fresh energy to the still life tradition, Helen Evans creates contemporary Australian paintings that celebrate fruit, florals and everyday objects through expressive colour, rich texture and intuitive mark making. Her distinctive mixed media approach builds depth and movement, inviting viewers to discover new details with every glance. Working instinctively, Helen develops each painting through layers of colour, texture and expressive brushwork, allowing surfaces to evolve through a process of adding, removing and refining. This dynamic approach creates artworks that feel both spontaneous and thoughtfully resolved, balancing bold gestural passages with quieter moments of detail and reflection. Each painting is created on a hand prepared panel and finished with a luminous high gloss surface that intensifies colour, enhances depth and gives every composition a radiant sense of light. This considered finishing process enriches the visual experience, creating contemporary still life paintings that are vibrant, immersive and unmistakably individual.
