Cozy Night In (Purple, Aura)

Joy leaves traces in the places we know best. Denise Daffara captures those traces through expressive contemporary paintings that celebrate nature, creativity and the quiet rituals that make a house feel like home. Her distinctive visual language brings together Australian and New Zealand flora, botanical forms, still life and the feminine figure, creating richly layered compositions that feel both uplifting and deeply personal. Working intuitively, Denise builds each painting through luminous colour, texture and expressive mark making, allowing emotion and instinct to guide the creative process. With a professional career spanning decades, Denise's work is held in private collections throughout Australia and internationally. Alongside a successful exhibition career, she is also a respected art educator, sharing her knowledge through workshops and creative programs across Australia and overseas. Whether inspired by a cup of tea, a favourite chair, native botanicals or the human form, Denise celebrates the beauty found in everyday rituals and the connections that shape our lives. Her paintings invite viewers to slow down, reflect and rediscover the extraordinary woven through the ordinary. Discover original Denise Daffara artworks through Stevens Street Gallery.
