Change Coming

Blending contemporary design with the beauty of Australian native flora and fauna, Cath Kerr Knijnenburg creates distinctive original artworks that are instantly recognisable for their bold graphic style and layered compositions. Balancing abstraction with nature inspired forms, her paintings bring a fresh, modern perspective to the Australian landscape. Working from her Sunshine Coast studio, Cath draws inspiration from the colours, textures and rhythms of the natural world. Influenced by her background in graphic design, she thoughtfully explores positive and negative space, pattern, layering and simplified form to create artworks that feel both contemporary and timeless. The result is a unique visual language that captures the essence of nature rather than simply depicting it. Passionate about authenticity and originality, Cath creates contemporary Australian art that transforms interiors with colour, character and a strong sense of place. Her distinctive paintings are held in private collections throughout Australia, Asia, the United Kingdom and mainland Europe, with her work continuing to grow in popularity among collectors seeking modern Australian botanical art.
